La Liga

La Liga, officially known as the Primera División, is the top professional football (soccer) division of the Spanish football league system. Established in 1929, it features 20 teams that compete against one another in a round-robin format, where each team plays every other team twice, once at home and once away. The league operates on a promotion and relegation system with the Segunda División, the second tier of Spanish football. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. La Liga is widely regarded as one of the strongest and most popular football leagues in the world, renowned for its high level of competition and the quality of its players and clubs, including renowned teams like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
