Soccer

Soccer, also known as football in many parts of the world, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The primary objective of the game is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net using any part of the body except the hands and arms, with the exception of the goalkeepers who can use their hands within the penalty area. The game is played on a rectangular field known as a pitch, with a goal at each end.

Soccer is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, maintained by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). The sport is globally popular and is organized at various levels, from local amateur leagues to international competitions such as the FIFA World Cup. The game emphasizes skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting, and it is known for its dynamics and the strategical play involved. Soccer has a significant cultural impact and is one of the most widely followed and played sports worldwide.
