Soccer

Soccer, also known as football in most parts of the world, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The objective of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal. Players use their feet, head, and body (excluding arms and hands, except for the goalkeeper) to control and move the ball. The sport is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, maintained by the International Football Association Board (IFAB).

Soccer is one of the most popular sports globally, with millions of fans and players. It is played professionally in numerous leagues and tournaments, including major events like the FIFA World Cup, which is held every four years and is one of the largest sporting events in the world. The sport emphasizes teamwork, skill, and strategy, making it a dynamic and engaging activity for players and spectators alike.
